Safe parking

Around 20% of all crime is vehicle-related and some 22% of this occurs in car parks. Research has shown that fear of crime has resulted in multi-storey car parks becoming no-go areas for many motorists.

The ´Safer Parking Schemes´ are initiatives intended to make life better for the operators and customers of car parks by adopting crime prevention measures to create a safer environment.

Not surprisingly, lighting is a key element in these initiatives whereby good lighting levels, uniformity and colour rendition contribute a great deal in creating that safer feeling, particularly where used in conjunction with CCTV.
