    The M7 project has been described as creating new opportunities for the Southwest and the Midlands by improving the infrastructure and communications for industry and agriculture with Dublin Port. The latest 17.5km section from Kildare to Port Laoise, opened by Minister for Transport Mr Martin Cullen TD in November 2004, was completed a year ahead of schedule, and was lit by Arc highway lanterns from WRTL Exterior Lighting.

  • Environmentally friendly WRTL lighting for new M6 toll road

    Britain´s first toll motorway - the 27 mile M6 Toll, Birmingham Northern Relief Road - is the focus of much public attention, so it was important that the road lighting delivered minimal environmental impact, optimum efficiency and low maintenance requirements. WRTL Exterior Lighting Ltd was able to project manage this very large scale and complex lighting scheme within tight time constraints, including nearly 4000 Vectra lanterns for highway and slip road lighting, floodlighting for the 10 toll stations and low maintenance 2816 tunnel luminaires in the new M6 underpass tunnel.
