WRTL Shortlisted In Electrical Industry Awards 2008

A campaign to promote WRTL’s transformation following its acquisition by new parent company, Indal, has been so successful that it has made the short list for the Electrical Industry Awards 2008, Marketing Campaign of the Year.

The challenge was to devise a marketing campaign that would successfully communicate the many benefits the change of ownership would bring,” comments Anthony Stubbs, WRTL’s Managing Director. “We also had to raise awareness of the Indal brand across WRTL’s existing customer base and the wider industry.

“An important element of the campaign was to raise the profile of the new ranges within WRTL’s offering, which had been regrouped in-line with Indal’s existing product classifications, which include Modern Contemporary, Road and Amenity, Floodlighting, Classical Heritage, Tunnel and Hi-Mast Lighting.

“This was a difficult challenge and we are very pleased that our efforts have been so well recognised by the industry.”

The campaign comprised adverting, e/d-mail, a dedicated new website and PR, and attracted unprecedentedly high awareness levels for the changes, opportunities and messages.
