WRTL’s 2-Tone is the first street lantern designed specifically to conform to the strict S1 G6 Glare classification for light pollution nuisance in built up areas, with advanced 3-D optics and flat glass for minimum light spillage.

- In addition, the 2-Tone lantern design capitalises on the exceptional energy efficiency and size advantages of the innovative, high intensity discharge lamps currently available. It accommodates the CosmoPolis, CDM-T/HCI-T (Powerball) and HQI-T white light sources between 45 and 150W outputs, complete with electronic gear.
- Its extremely compact dimensions (body 445mm long, 216mm wide, 107mm high) make it visibly smaller than competitive larger scale lanterns widely used for these new light sources. The aesthetics of its compact design and subtly toned finish also help it to blend into a wide variety of urban streetscapes.
- The 2-Tone’s small size also helps its sustainability credentials through the reduced carbon footprint in its manufacture, lower transport costs and less material with no glue; it can be fully dismantled with near total recyclability. All these features help it spearhead WRTL’s Energy efficiency, Sustainability and Performance (ESP) initiative.
- The 2-Tone’s newly developed 3-D optic system delivers the highest performance distribution and glare control in particularly sensitive locations. Two designs of optics are available: the Performer, for the highest performance distribution and glare control for general installations on main and residential streets; and the Comfort for more sensitive locations. The lumen output and compact size facilitates lantern mounting heights from main roads to secondary and residential areas; side arm and post top mounting is available.
- The IP66 rated housing, with double ingress protection and condensation-minimising controlled breathing technology, ensure longevity and reliability. Toolless maintenance, easy gear access and safe maintenance technology with an automatic disconnect on opening offer additional low lifetime costs.
