Its attractive design, Eco-Designed approach, optimal lighting control within a highly protected lantern, and its easy & safe operation concept are without doubt the most remarkable
features of this new public lighting product.
For use in
A highly aesthetic design in which the state-of-the-art shape is combined with proven functionality, allowing its use in two body sizes for road & amenity lighting applications including city roads, promenades and parks, residential areas and so on.
Key features
Respect for the environment is paramount in the effort to minimise climate change and reduce CO2 emissions. As a result, the design of Airtrace continues the tradition of almost complete recyclability.
The lantern itself is manufactured from high pressure diecast aluminium which offers both durability and longevity. Moreover, when using recycled aluminium, 95% of the energy used during its production is saved. In addition to that, end-oflife
recycling is also easier.
In-service energy saving is another key feature where efficient lighting performance, modern components and lamps combine to offer energy saving (up to even 50% in case of mercury lamp replacement).
In addition, the current trend towards miniaturisation of light sources allows lanterns to be smaller giving potential savings on columns and bracketry. In short the Airtrace complies with the Ecodesign Directives (EuP 2005/32/EC).
Technical data
• Airtrace incorporates the concept of Eco-Designed which combines energy saving, CO2 emissions reduction and component recyclability.
• The reflector designs (iReflec and ExaCT) achieve optimum photometric performance with the latest lamp technology and the use of flat glass ensures no light spillage above the horizontal.
• The Airtrace lantern is completely protected to the high IP-66 standard, and the lamp compartment can be additionally sealed against the unlikely event of dust or water ingress (Double Ingress Protection DIPTM).
• Airtrace is equipped with Controlled Breathing Technology (CBTTM) which allows any
build-up of moisture, created by the heating/cooling cycle of the lamp, to be vented to air via the membrane filter.
• Standard in Class II and, optionally, in Class I, Airtrace includes Safe Maintenance
Technology (SMTTM) which automatically disconnects the mains supply when the
lantern is opened.
Both insulation classes incorporate a gear tray which can be removed without the use
of tools with prior switch-off of plug connectors.
